Beacon Street Waban, MA

Extensively renovated in 2011, this stately 19th-century Victorian home just outside of Boston was updated to reflect the owner's classic, clean aesthetic while maintaining the home's traditional heritage. In the kitchen, a sleek walnut butcher-block extension was added to serve as a low-maintenance dining area for the couple's young children in an otherwise clean, white space. This purist color scheme allowed the juxtaposition of varying textures to remain the focus. The downstairs sitting room was designed as a hybrid library and entertaining space for intimate gatherings while the couple's master bathroom was conceptualized as a private retreat in the same soft, neutral color palette.
